It's all here! Beaches: from Popham to Reid State Park to Pemaquid to Crescent. Islands: from those that are little more than a ledge with a few trees, to the larger communities of Vinalhaven and Northhaven and Islesboro to the countless archipelagoes scattered throughout Penobscot Bay. Mountains: they are not big, but rising right out of the sea they are special and provide extraordinary views across the Bay to Acadia National Park and westward to the higher peaks of the White Mountains and the northern terminus of the Appalachians.

If it's not the geography that excites you, perhaps the fresh lobster, or incredible organic strawberries, blueberries or even wine. It's all grown right here.

Did we mention the creativity that seems to spring from every corner of this land? Monhegan Island is famous for its' artists colony, and of course the Wyeth family has deep roots here. The Farnsworth Art Museum (We are right across from their sculpture garden) is internationaly recognized for its' collection of American artists. You can even see glass being blown at several local galleries and creative artists working in fabric, metal and wood abound. The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship is turning out phenomenal artists whose work stretches the boundaries of traditional furniture making.

Of course it wouldn't be right to omit the fact that Penobscot Bay is recognized as one of the premier cruising grounds in the world. Nowhere, can a sailor find the diversity, sheer beauty and convenience that this beautiful bay affords.

Come visit us and see for yourself!
